How do you create campaigns that get players excited about new games?
I try to think about what I myself would want and need when trying a new game. Do I know where to go to find the rules? Will I understand it? Will I have a fun time with it? We live such busy lives… Games can be a great escape! BUT which games suit our fancy? That’s for me to show you!
What’s something fun about working in marketing at WorldWinner?
My role has many touchpoints to the sub departments of marketing. Thus, I tend to have a broad knowledge of a lot of happenings! What’s exciting about that is I usually get the inside scoop on anything new in the pipeline. From facilitating names of new games, to surveying players on what they like about their current favorites… It’s all important, and it’s all exciting.
Can you share a campaign that you’re particularly proud of?
Not a campaign necessarily, but I do love when we have a seasonal shift in our creative assets. It makes WorldWinner look fresh, and it also creates such a fruitful environment for copywriting. For example, I get into the groove of Summer, and Fall rolls around, and it’s energizing. I think our players can see that too!
What do you love most about bringing games to life through marketing?
Many of us live such fast-paced lives. We need an outlet to just chill out and have a fun time. If I can get players excited about a tourney or an event, they don’t even need to leave their house to get in on the action! They have the tool at their fingertips. I love being a little inbox reminder to make time for yourself… And win cash!
What’s the most rewarding part of being on the marketing team?
The people I work with are just so stellar. I have only met one of my colleagues in person – that’s it! The fact that we can still chat and be able to collaborate creatively is really awesome.
